This charming little village provides the nearest bakery and ‘‘Pierre’s’’ bar which covers pretty much everything the bakery doesn’t and includes a general store and upstairs restaurant, recommended, but you have to book in advance.
This pretty market town is located by a well known beauty spot with its forest and lake, ideal for walks and offering picnic areas and a forest restaurant and bar. Keep an eye open for wild boar and roaming deer.
A historical town, check out the clock tower gate, castle, churches and museum. A gastronomic centre, if you like your food and drink then there is goose, liver, cider, Perry, calvados (apple brandy), Pommeau (apple brandy and apple juice) plus other local and regional specialities in the many restaurants to savour.
Known as ‘’God’s town of the frying pan’’ it is famous for it’s production of professional copper and stainless steel cookware. There is also a bell foundry, bicycle museum, penture house and copper workshop.
A busy and lively seaside resort and commercial port with good entertainment facilities, with harbour view restaurants and a casino.

Mont St Michael – 45 minutes drive
Reached by a causeway; one of the great sights of France. Originally started in 907 A.D. and built on by successive generations in even more elaborate styles. Watch the famous omelettes being made at ‘’La Mere Poulard’’ or walk up its steep twisty streets to the top, if you have the energy!
